A Fun New Year's Resolution with Basic Invite
One of my new year’s resolutions is to send more snail mail to the special people in my life. It’s extra fun to send (and receive!) since becoming an adult essentially means all mail is either junk or a bill. I don't know about you, but when I see a note in the mail from a friend, I get so excited. It only makes sense that I want to spread some of that joy to my friends since I know how much I enjoy receiving mail!
I recently came across Basic Invite and immediately loved their site. I just got the pieces I designed in the mail and to say I’m obsessed would be such an understatement. I am 10000% sure that my friends are going to LOVE seeing these pieces show up in their mailboxes. My favorite one is the one above that says "You are my favorite!". I mean, come onnn! Who wouldn't LOVE to get that in their mailbox?!
When I first started playing around on their website it was like a black hole. I was on the site for over an hour changing the sizes, fonts, and colors. There are instant previews so you don’t even have to have a design eye to know what your order will look like. There are almost unlimited colors (you can see the color card in the above photo how many shades of each color there are). There are literally perfect colors and fonts for any invitation, card, or stationary that you could ever want!
A couple of mine are obviously thank you cards (because I don’t think the art of saying thank you in writing is dead). There are also a few that can be sent just because. Basic Invite also has something for literally every single occasion from thank you cards and stationary to invites for your wedding and baby shower! The templates are super easy to work with to customize for your event too. I love the thought of having totally custom design work done for the special occasions in my life, but that’s also why I love this invitation website so much. It is semi-custom, and gives you the power to change anything you like, but also gives you a starting point and is affordable. It’s the best of both worlds for me.
Here's to keeping my resolution and sending out my first batch of snail mail this week. If you want to join me, definitely check out Basic Invite and design something special for your friends too! OR if you're engaged, pregnant, or have a fun party coming up, check out their invitations because they most likely have your dream invite at a great price!
xoxo,
Sarah
