Want to learn how to make these super easy painted bottles? Read on!
First up, you'll want to gather some supplies. You'll need spray paint to be the base of your bottles. I used
this one in white. You'll also need some
paint brushes and acrylic paint in any color(s) you want. I used
Tutti Fruitti,
Cherry Blossom Pink, and
Wild Rose.
I found these glass bottles at Target in the dollar spot. Looking back, I wish I'd bought them all! You can use any bottles you want, but definitely stop by Target to see if they have any if you want something similar to these. That's all you need to get started, so let's do this!
Step 1: Spray paint the bottles in your base color. You may be wondering why I don't have a photo of my bottles painted white. It's because I'm a slacker and got a little too excited about finishing this project to remember to take a before photo. Whoops! Sorry guys! I'm sure you can figure out how to evenly spray a few bottles; I have all the confidence in the world in you!
Step 2: Once your base is completely dry (I waited until the next day), dip your brush in the first color and wipe it off so it's not saturated with paint. Paint all the way around the base of the bottle in upward strokes. You can take the color up as far as you like. Repeat on all of your bottles in the colors you have.
Step 3: When the first coat dries, do the exact same thing except don't bring the color up quite as far. I painted the second coat up to about an inch before the first coat stopped. I hope that makes sense.
Step 4: Let these babies dry and then find them a home! I put mine on the dresser in my bedroom. I just refinished my dresser, which I'll be posting a tutorial on very soon.
